Why There’s Need To Learn a Foreign Language

When one understands a foreign language, their worldview is expanded, it removes distrust and fear of foreigners

“One of the areas of interest would be upgrading of the Italian course content and looking into ways of getting an Italian Lecturer to assist in doing this,” said Ms. Gambacorta.

On his part, Prof. Musyoki lauded the introduction of Italian lecturers to boost the capacity in the Language department. “We have both Japanese and Chinese lecturers and it will be such a privilege to have an Italian lecturer too,” he said.

The College, a premier training center charged with the responsibility to develop a highly qualified and competitive human resource for the hospitality and tourism industry both locally and globally, lays great emphasis on foreign language training. It has established three fully equipped language laboratories which enhance interactive learner/trainer environment. The institution has further engaged a team of highly knowledgeable, passionate, and dedicated foreign language lecturers to ensure that its students get the best training.

Besides Italian, other foreign languages offered at Kenya Utalii College are Chinese, French, German, Japanese and Spanish.
