Enhancing Quality Training In The Hospitality and Tourism Industry Through Sports

The annual Kenya Utalii College Sports Day is set to take place on Friday, 22nd July, 2022 at the Kenya Utalii Sports Grounds. The event will start from 8.30 am to 5.00pm.

The one day event brings together members of Staff and Students of the College to participate in various categories of the sporting activity. It acts as an informal platform where members of staff, and students of Kenya Utalii College, together with the invited guests showcase their sporting prowess.

The activities of this annual event play a significant role in the institution’s endeavor to nurture talent and promote sporting talent among its staff and students. The College encourages growth through provision of training facilities at the Sports ground for field and track events as well as a well equipped gym.

The Hospitality and Tourism industry is a social industry where those driving it have to hone their social skills. Hence, the Sports day provides such an opportunity to both staff and students to interact regardless of the boundaries of everyday life such as gender, generational, hierarchical etc. It is also a day when the staff and students at all levels within the organization compete in the available activities. Bonds are enhanced and ideas shared to ensure the continued growth of Kenya Utalii College.
