Kenya Utalii College is pleased to be part of the 2020 World Tourism Day Celebrations . Safina Kwekwe Tsungu, CBS, the Principal Secretary for Tourism cutting a World Tourism day cake presented by Kenya Utalii College.The theme of this year’s celebrations – Tourism and Rural Development – echoes what our institution stands for – tourism and hospitality capacity building for people from all over the country.
All our programmes – right from the Diploma Courses to the professional courses such as Management Development Programmes and Refresher Courses take into consideration the training needs of both the urban and rural establishments. Kenya Utalii College does this due to an understanding of the unique role that tourism plays in providing opportunities both in big cities and outside, as well as in preserving cultural and natural heritage all around the world.

Increased linkages between the College and the hospitality and tourism industry stakeholders has made a huge contribution in ensuring the institution’s courses are always aligned to industry needs. The institution is closely linked to the industry through the Tourism industry/Kenya Utalii College Liaison Committee.As we move forward, the institution is dedicated to ensuring that tourism and hospitality capacity building for the rural population is taken a notch higher.We appreciate support from the Ministry of Tourism in advancing our mission – which is developing highly qualified and globally competitive human resource for the hospitality and tourism industry by providing; quality tourism and hospitality education, purposeful research and consultancy.
